In the days leading up the the end of the week (Tuesday, 6/20), an area of low pressure developed across the Middle Mississippi Valley and began slowly moving eastward, leading to periods of additional rainfall across some of these same areas, in addition to interior and upstate portions of the Carolinas and Virginia. Many areas received more than 5 inches of rainfall as these thunderstorm clusters moved southeastward along a mean frontal boundary. Several rounds of heavy rainfall associated with clusters of thunderstorms warranted improvement to abnormal dryness (D0) and moderate drought (D1) across southern portions of the Deep South from Mississippi to Georgia and into northern Florida. Unfortunately, short-term dryness leading up to this week warranted further degradation of drought and abnormal dryness (D0) across southern New England and the Mid-Atlantic from the I-95 corridor eastward to the Atlantic Coast. Some locations in southeastern Pennsylvania and northern West Virginia also experienced improving drought conditions, associated with a couple of rounds of heavy rainfall, totaling in excess of 2 inches for the week. Several locations in interior portions of the Northeast also received well above normal rainfall totals, leading to improvements in the drought depiction, particularly across northern New England and parts of Upstate New York. Much of the Northeast experienced below average daytime high temperatures this week. Another round of deterioration was warranted again this week across much of the Midwest and eastern Great Plains, where below average precipitation continued to add to precipitation deficits that go back several months. However, much of the Mississippi and Ohio Valleys and the Northeast experienced a mix of worsening and improving drought conditions based on antecedent dryness and where the heaviest rain fell, respectively. Toward the end of the weekend, a slow-moving storm system traversing eastward across the Middle Mississippi and Ohio Valleys resulted in additional periods of heavy rainfall across portions of the eastern U.S. Heavy rain also fell across parts of the Southeast, with many locations across the Deep South receiving in excess of 5 inches of rainfall, leading to improvements to abnormally dry and moderate drought conditions from central Mississippi southeastward to Florida. The only exception was in the northern Cascades in Washington, where below-normal precipitation led to worsening drought conditions. A mean frontal boundary draped across much of the lower 48 states resulted in periods of heavy rainfall across portions of the western Great Plains and Intermountain West, leading to improvements to drought conditions across much of the western half of the lower 48 states. Large portions of southern Texas experienced excessive heat this week, with daytime high temperatures averaging well above 100☏ for several locations. Much of the lower 48 states experienced near to below normal temperatures this week, with the exception of parts of the northern Great Plains, Upper Midwest, southern Texas, and parts of the Lower Mississippi Valley.

Not only is this strain incredibly enjoyable because of its flavors, but it is a one hitter quitter that will last you longer than most. If you are looking for the best night of sleep you’ve had in a long time, you’ve come to the right place. White OG is great for indoor breeders who require a less pungent odor from their plants. Recommended for intermediate growers and above, you can expect a medium sized plant that smells of citrus and pine. This is a popular indoor plant with a flowering time of 10 to 11 weeks and will grant you with a high yield if properly cared for. As it is a powerful sedative, it is also great for the relief of pain, headaches, cramps, muscle spasms, and muscle tightness. Described as a narcotic-like high, this is going to be an uninterrupted rest, so be sure to give yourself plenty of time for it to wear off during the night. Its utterly numbing properties will have you off to dreamland with very little effort of your own. Enjoy it before bed for the full desired effect.Īs mentioned above, this strain is ideal for the treatment of insomnia. This strong high is perfect for an end of day sleep aid or a brain blackout that will last throughout the night. After the first hit, you are blinded by the heavy cerebral rush, leaving you hazy and stoned, with an almost complete loss of functionality. The high from White OG can only be described as powerfully sedative. The flavors are rich in citrus and musk, making this a strain to remember. The aromas are sweet and lemony with earthy pine and refreshing wintergreen on the nose. These forest green nugs are covered in milky white trichomes and fiery orange hairs, giving it the facade of being hot to the touch. With insanely high THC levels around 24% and famous lineage, it’s no wonder as to why it’s taking home awards and slowly become a top-tier strain. Between its incredible flavors and hard-hitting effects, this sought after heiress bred by Karma Genetics will certainly be your next favorite go-to strain. White OG is an award-winning child of two celebrated strains, The White and SFV OG Kush, taking home the overall prize at the 20 Cannabis Cup. This strain flowers in 8 weeks and the yield is heavy. Gorilla Glue #4 came into being due to the accidental pollination of a hermaphrodite and therefore, growers advise that even if you get feminized seeds, you should check each plant for pollen sacs in the flowering stage. In particular, people with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) have made Gorilla Glue #4 their go-to girl. This strain has a reputation for being able to treat disorders that are more mental in origin such as stress, anxiety, and depression. The indica provides sedating effects for painful disorders like arthritis and slipped discs. It is good for mild and moderate conditions such as headache and insomnia. With low CBD, Gorilla Glue #4 is not for serious medical conditions such as seizures, cancer, and central nervous disorders. You will feel the effect immediately and it will “glue” you to the couch and deliver relaxation and euphoria. The effect is heavy-handed as this is a couch-locking strain. Recreational users will find that the buzz goes straight to the head. Not exactly a strain to use in the morning, Gorilla Glue #4 is more suited to a day off from work or to end the day. Along with the body buzz, expect uplifting, cerebral effects. The body effect may be a result of the THC/CBD ratio, the terpene profile, and/or the synergistic effects of the cannabinoids. It gives a full body melt, despite the Sativa-dominance. Gorilla Glue #4 makes you chill, medical and recreational users, both. It is very dense, spongy, resinous, and covered in trichromes. You’ll be going back for seconds due to the full-bodied and flavorful smoke. The aroma is very strong and is mostly diesel with notes of chocolate and coffee, although sweet and earthy is also used to describe it. It has been described as a bunch of trichromes with a few buds, leaves, and stalks sticking out. The hybrid strain has won awards at the 2014 Cannabis Cup in both Los Angeles and Michigan. Gorilla Glue #4 has several parents due to extensive backcrossing – Sour Diesel, Sour Dubb, Chem’s Sister, and Chocolate Diesel. This strain gets its name because of the resin that collects on the scissors when trimming. The CBD is very low, ranging between 0.05 and 0.1 percent. It averages 18 to 25 percent THC, but you may find it as high as 32 percent at some dispensaries. Gorilla Glue #4 (also known as GG4) created by GG strains is a Sativa-dominant hybrid, a multiple award-winning strain, famous for its high THC content.
